Victoria J. Marcovecchio
Former Staten Islander Victoria J. Marcovecchio, 69, of Cottonwood, AZ, a retired administrative assistant who cared for animals, died January 3 at home following a long illness.
Born in Manhattan, she moved to Staten Island in 1972 and settled in Great Kills.
She moved to Cottonwood in 2003.
She worked as an administrative assistant at several Wall Street companies for more than 20 years.
In her leisure time she enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting, traveling, entertaining, gardening and caring for her cats. An animal lover, she was a member of the Staten Island Council for Animal Welfare and adopted many homeless cats.
Her daughter, Lorraine Kotlarchyk, died in 1989. Surviving are her husband Richard Carson and daughter Karen Kotlarchyk.
Arrangements, including cremation, were handled by Arizona Neptune Society Cremation Services in Tempe.
