MCCLEERY, Erdene

Yuma Sun, Yuma, Arizona - Published in The Yuma Sun on Jan. 22, 2014 - Erdene Telford McCleery, 75, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Yuma Regional Medical Center. She was born February 4, 1938 in Mesa, Arizona to Grace and William Telford. After she graduated from Mesa High School in 1956, she attended the University of Arizona, receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Home Economics. Erdene met the love of her life, Greg McCleery, prior to graduating college. They wed in 1960, and were happily married for 53 years. They lived and raised a family in the Yuma area since 1969. She was an active volunteer for local schools, Boy Scouts and 4-H. Erdene is survived by her husband, Greg; sons, Randy (Michelle) of Surprise, AZ and Bryan (Tabby) of San Diego, CA; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents and brother, Bill. A memorial service will be held in Yuma, AZ at the Yuma County Mounted Sheriff's Posse Arena, 4450 S.
