Karla Sue Malone, 62, passed away suddenly Sunday morning, January 19th, in Yuma, AZ while visiting family. She was a long time resident of Flagstaff.
Karla is survived by her long time campanion Sam Morgan and her brother Steven Hamma of Phoenix, AZ, her 4 children, Eric Tsitouris, Joshua Tsitouris, Sarah Wilkerson and Katy Brooks, as well as her 5 precious grand babies, Faith, Ethan, Emily, Addison, and Noah.
Karla was born in Oceanside, CA on March 12, 1951 to Lorna Hamma and Keith Kvammen. In 1968 her step father, staff sargent Robert B Hamma settled his family in AZ where she remained and raised her 4 children.
Of all her accomplishments, Karla’s greatest achievements have been in the life of her family. She had a unique gift to recognize and appreciate the talents in others and to make them feel loved and lifted by her spirit. Her kind heart and brilliant smile always put everyone at ease. Her generous heart will never be forgotten. No matter who you were she always made you feel at home.
She lived for her 5 grandchildren. Her presence would make them sparkle. Their nana will never be forgotten. She leaves all her four children and 5 grandchildren with the knowledge that they were truly loved. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Michael John Hamma.
Karla wishes were to be cremated. A service will be held Saturday, February 1st at 11 am at the Sunnyside Baptist Church.
