Arvel C. Walker, 54, a radio technician for the Arizona Highway Patrol, died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1964, in Maryvale Hospital.
A native of Arkansas, he moved to Arizona nine years ago. He came to Phoenix in 1960 and resided at 6126 W. Earll Drive. He was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; two daughters, Vernijean of Phoenix and Mrs. Bob Bierschank of Edmond; a brother, Sgt. Lowell Walker in the Army at Manhattan, Kansas; a sister, Mrs. W. Miller of Joplin, Missouri; and a grandson.
Services conducted at West Phoenix Baptist Church, 4449 W. Indiana School. The Revs. M. V. Mears, Melton Scott and Irl Atwood officiated. Memorial Funeral Home, 5830 W. Missouri. Green Acres Mortuary. Burial in Edmond, Oklahoma.
