The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, March 13, 2009 Lillis "Jo" Irene Hackerott, born June 8, 1930, in Alton, Kan., passed away March 12, 2009, surrounded by her family in Prescott, Ariz. Lillis is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Gilbert Hackerott. She is survived by her mother Berniece Wilcoxson, son Dennis Hackerott of Torrance, Calif., daughters Wenda Nunn of Wichita, Kan., and Janis Massimo of Torrance, Calif., and son Rick Hackerott of Prescott. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Hampton Funeral Home of Prescott will handle the arrangements. A private service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 14, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Her final resting place will be off the Santa Monica coast in California. Memorial donations may be made in Lillis' name to the American Cancer Society. Information provided by survivors.
