BARKER, Mary Ann

Mary Ann Barker, 66, passed over on August 5, 2005. Mary Ann was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on October 31, 1938 to Kenneth and Dora Askins McCauley. She was raised in Apollo, Pa. and attended Edinboro State Teachers College and graduated in 1960. She moved to Arizona with some of her friends after college and began her teaching career with Glendale Elementary District. She retired from Glendale after 40 years of teaching. She is survived by her daughter Amanda and son-in-law Chris Pelton, son Robert Bradley Barker, grandchildren Bryce, Blake and Elyse, brothers John Jr., Tom and Patrick McCauley, and sister Lois Devilling. Memorial service was held at Christ's Church of the Valley, 7007 West Happy Valley Road, Peoria on Wednesday August 10, 2005. Published in The Arizona Republic on 8/7/2005.
