Trudie (A. Gertrude) Cancilla, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Jan. 3, 2014 surrounded by her family as she passed from this world into the heavenly kingdom.
She was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., the only child of Henry and Rose Wiesner.
In 1969 she moved to Phoenix and lived there until the time of her death. She also had a summer home in Show Low. She worked in the medical field most of her life serving in hospitals in both Pennsylvania and Arizona.
She is survived by her son, David Blasco; daughter Celeste Bennett; 37 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Calvary Community Church, 12612 N. Black Canyon Hwy in Phoenix.
