The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 01/28/2014 Reese Loas entered into rest Jan. 16, 2014, in Mesa. He was born Jan. 29, 1943, in Canyon Day. Reese is survived by his wife of 41 years, Diana Loas; sons: Jarrett Burnette, Fergus Burnette; daughter Naomi Cosen; brothers: Earl Loas Sr., Wesley Loas, McCoy Loas, Ernie Declay; sisters: Hattie Walker, Joan Declay, Lorraine Humeyetewa; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Grace Loas, and son Raymus Loas. Reese’s body was brought home to his residence, 706 East St. in Canyon Day Jan. 23 for a two-night wake. Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at the Canyon Day Assembly of God Church in Canyon Day with Co-pastor Ivan Atole officiating. Interment will be at the Canyon Day Cemetery. Manzanita Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
