REED, John Duncan (Dunc)

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 John Duncan (Dunc) Reed, born July 23, 1930, in Pontiac, Ill., passed away Jan. 3, 2014, at the age of 83. Duncan served with the Illinois National Guard in the Korean War. He was a high school teacher and coach in Mt. Carroll, Ill., Fulton, Ill., and South Mountain High in Phoenix, where he also ran the aviation program. Duncan is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille; two sons, Duncan and David; and three grandsons, Justin, Chris and Steve. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Feb. 4, 2014, at the VA National Cemetery in Prescott, where his ashes will be interred. A reception will be held at the family home following the service.
