FINNELL, Patricia Ann (Patty)

Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona, Monday, January 27, 2014 Patricia Ann (Ward) Finnell, quietly slipped into the arms of her Saviour Dec. 7th. 2013 in Hutchinson, Ks. at the age of 80. Patty was born in Flagstaff, Az. on March 24th 1933. Her father, Clifford Ward, operated a hamburger shop there on old main street in the late 30's early 40's. Folks coming in for what they deemed ' the Best Burgers in Town', could see young Patty and her sister peeking over the counters. Preceded in death : sister, Georgia( Ward) Trestrail, daughter, Delane Sue (Earles) Moy, and son's Ronald Lee Turner and Michael Wayne Earles. Her beloved and cherished family: Husband of 47 years, Irl Wayne Finnell Sr., sons Clifford Burton Earles (Patricia), Daniel Paul Earles, Irl Wayne Finnell Jr. (Jeanette), daughter Joleen Marie Finnell Case (Kerry). Patricia was blessed with 12 grandchildren, 12 greatgrand children and 1 Great-great-grandchild, and her sister, Arlene Blahnik Sandoval (Robert) and brothers Larry Ward and Tony Blahnik. Patricia was loved by all who were blessed to have know her. If you were a friend of Pat's, it was for life, as one of her dearest and closest, Gerri , would testify to. They were best friends for 57 years. Pat loved her family beyond measure. She enjoyed reading, astrology and travel. Her collection of Angels was "Heavenly" and her love of the southwest reflected in her decor wherever she called home. Pat called Arizona home as well as San Diego, were her youngest children grew up , and finally spent her last years in Hutchinson Kansas with her devoted husband Irl. She is missed by all and will be loved and remembered in the hearts of those who will carry her legacy on. A special thanks extended to the excellent Hospice care of Reno county Kansas.
