McDougal's Caldwell Funeral Chapel, Safford, Arizona Daniel Hunter October 8, 1940 - January 27, 2014 Daniel Hunter, 73 of Peridot passed away January 27, 2014 in Mesa. Daniel was born October 8, 1940 to Martin and Matilda Dillon Hunter. After retirement from the San Carlos Apache Tribe Housing Authority, Daniel enjoyed fishing, woodcutting, cowboy round-ups, watching WWE (wrestling) and spending time with his family. He enjoyed his time with his children and grandchildren. Daniel was a member of the Point of Pines Cattle Association. Daniel is survived by his children; Elmira "Mira" Hunter, Sydney Hunter, Elizabeth K. Hunter, Danfred (Rachel) Hunter, Sr., and Krystal Eve Hunter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emily Pike Hunter; children, Daniel Hunter, Jr., and Althea Hunter; and sister, Betty Hunter. A Wake will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Hunter Residence in Peridot, Arizona. Funeral Services will be on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Hall in Bylas, Arizona. Interment to follow at Middle Mesa Cemetery in Bylas.
