Ronald B. Hunt, age 86, of New Prague, Minn., died Sunday, Jan. 26 at Mala Strana Nursing Home in New Prague.
Ron was born Dec. 1, 1927 to Albert and Alice Hunt in Chippewa Falls, Wisc. He attended Chippewa Falls Public Schools and worked as chief electrician for 42 years at the Ladish Company in Kudahy, Wisc., where he belonged to the exclusive “Fat Man’s Club.” Ronald was a corporal in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He married Lois M. Carlson on Dec. 2, 1950 in South Milwaukee, Wisc.
He was also active in the Lions, loved to golf, do remodeling and handyman projects, and listening to live music. He enjoyed family get-togethers and travel. He and his wife Lois retired in Wickenburg.
Ronald is survived by his wife Lois of New Prague; children Brian and Betty Hunt of Hartford, Wisc., Joleen and George Kohler of Custer, S.D., Kim Hunt of Montgomery, Minn., and Kris and Julie Hunt of New Prague; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Ronald is preceded in death by sisters Helen Carter and Dorothy Belot and brothers George and Robert Hunt.
Visitation will be held at Bruzek Funeral Home in New Prague from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday (Feb. 1) followed by services at 3 p.m. Military rites will be conducted immediately after the service.
Burial will occur at a later date in Oak Creek, Wisc.
