Martin Charles Martin, of the Anheuser, died at his home in Prescott at 11:30 p.m. Jan. 13, 1901(2),. According to the Great Register of the city of Prescott, he was over 50 years of age. He was a native of Germany. He came here as a musician in the United States army, and had served in a like capacity in the German army. He had been sick but a few days from some intestinal derangement and had undergone a surgical operation to relieve same a few hours before his death. He was a good natured and honorable man and his death is widely regretted. He had lived in this section about two years. He leaves a wife and two children to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. He was a member of the Prescott fire department, of the K. of P., and of the Elks.
