Warren “Jess” K. James 
August 15, 1928 - January 30, 2014

Warren K. “Jess” James, 85, passed away unexpectedly at home in Payson on Jan. 30, 2014. Jess was born Aug. 15, 1928, in Indianapolis, Ind. to Lester and Fay James. 

A Purdue graduate in aeronautical engineering, he retired from Boeing in Seattle, and moved to Payson.

Jess was a loving husband, father, brother and papa. He was a veteran and avid outdoorsman. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Faye N.; daughters, Susan Rosine, Denver, Colo. and Anne James (Mike Haynie), Mesa; sister Shirley Ekstrom, Omaha, Neb.; step-grandchildren, Christopher Rosine, Skye Appel and Ciara Pratt; four step-great-grandchildren; a niece and two nephews.

Jess felt he lived a wonderful life, and did not want anyone to be sad. At his request, there will be no services. Donations may be made to Tonto Rim Search and Rescue, P.O. Box 357, Strawberry, AZ 85544.
