Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Monday, February 3, 2014 - Frances Lela Vinson (Pell), 82, went to be with the Lord Jan. 26, 2014, at the Sherman Hospice House in Scottsdale, Ariz. She was born Oct. 07, 1931 in Glendale, Calif. to Lee and Gladys Eastman. Frances enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling to Europe, the Mediterranean, and several other exotic locations. She enjoyed the simple things in life, from seeing Lake Havasu on a beautiful morning, to reading good books and spending time with her friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She always displayed grace, love and appreciation to others, even in the most difficult of times. Frances was truly an inspiration and an example for us all. Frances Lela Vinson (Pell), daughter in Christ, you are deeply missed and loved always. Frances was a performer, who at one time sang at the Hollywood Bowl. She enjoyed singing with the local Colomonde Chorus, attending Church, and until more recently, was an active member of the local Chapter of the Red Hats Society, The Elks Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star. Frances married her second husband, Lloyd Pell in 1994, and they moved to Lake Havasu City in 2002. Frances and Lloyd previously resided in Paradise, Calif., where Frances originally lived with her first husband of 35 years, John Allen Vinson. Frances and John were married in 1958, had 4 children, and remained married for 35 years until John passed away in 1993. Frances is survived by her three children, Dennis Vinson, of Roseville Calif., Daniel Vinson, of New River, Ariz., and Diane Johnson, of Brentwood, Calif.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Vinson and Lloyd Pell; her parents, Lee and Gladys Eastman; her brother, Ron Eastman; and her son, Donny Vinson. Funeral Service will be held at Havasu Bible Fellowship Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Blythe officiating.
