Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Tuesday, February 4, 2014 - Giuseppa Meli passed away Feb. 1, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 80. She was born July 6, 1933 in Realmonte, Italy to Antonino and Anna (Burgio) LaPaglia. Giuseppa was a faithful Catholic who attended Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church. She was a stay home mother who loved her family; she loved to sing and dance, travel, cook and to spend time with her grandchildren. She has made Arizona her home for the last 41 years. Giuseppa is survived by her loving family, sons, Joseph (Josie) Meli, of Las Vegas and Anthony (Anna) Meli, of Lake Havasu City; daughters, Antonia (James) Miller, of Lake Havasu City, Anna (Mario) Biasiucci, of Lake Havasu City, and Josephine (Dino) Cappuccio, of Spencerport, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Leonard Meli and two grandchildren. A visitation for Giuseppa was Monday, Feb. 3, 5 p.m. at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in the Chapel, with the Funeral Service following at 7 p.m., Deacon John Navaretta officiated.
