Private cremation will be at Bradshaw Chapel in Prescott Valley. West passed away on Jan. 31, 2014 at the VA hospital in Prescott. He is preceded in death by his father, Keith West; mother, Avis West; brother, Allan West; and sister, Kristy West. He is survived by his sister, Leigh Harron of San Diego. He graduated from Kingman High School and then he served a term in the U.S. Navy. He spent most of his life in Kingman with his friends and family. We will always love and miss his smiling face and laughter. Born Feb. 5, 1944 in Camp Stoneman, Calif., he was the only son of the late Roger West and Eulala West. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Patricia Jean Weyland West; two children Ashley West of San Francisco, Calif. and Lauren West of Glendale, Ariz. Mark was a gregarious person with a kind heart and great sense of humor. He was interested in all types of cuisine and was a marvelous chef who enjoyed entertaining. Mark was fascinated by the exotic countries of the world and enjoyed travel. He will be missed by his loving family whom he cherished so much. Memorial services for Mark will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St. in Prescott.
