(Maiden Name: Smith)

Sharon "Therese" Freyer, 67, was called home to be with the Lord on January 28th. Therese was the second of three children born to Lowell and Elizabeth Smith in Blooming, IL.
Her father stayed in the military after WW II and transferred to Williams Air Force Base in Chandler, AZ when she was three years old. Therese graduated from Chandler High School and then ASU with a bachelors degree in fine arts. She started her working career as a school teacher in Chinle, AZ and was then hired to start the art program at Payson High School.
In the fall of 1972 she met Ernest Freyer and they were married in June 1973. After completing the DPS academy in 1973, Therese and Ernie were stationed in Williams, AZ, and four years later were transferred to Flagstaff where they have lived ever since.
To add to the family income while staying home to raise her two wonderful sons, Therese began to make crafts of all kinds and became known as "The Craft Lady." For several years people from all over the area attended her annual craft show "The Stuffed Stocking", and many still talk of the decorations around their homes or angels on top of their trees. Therese loved to drive in the woods, travel in the RV, Red Hats, and Rock Club but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
Therese was preceded in death by her parents and older brother Richard.
She is survived by her husband Ernie, two sons Mike (Dawn) and Matt (Marti), three grandchildren Ben, Matthias, and Makayla, her sister Elizabeth (Joe), nieces and nephews.
A Memorial of her life will be held on Saturday February 8th at 11:30 AM, Christ Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Ave.
