STAINE, Frank L.

Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Saturday, February 8, 2014 - Frank L. Staine, 81 of Lake Havasu City, died Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014. He was born in Hollywood, Calif. in 1933. In his younger days, Frank was a competitive gymnast, dirt bike rider and champion water skier and known as “Wild Man”. Later in life, he enjoyed playing pool and was an avid golfer. Frank was a ceramic tile contractor in Palm Springs, Calif. He was proud that he set the precedence of standards that are still used today. He mentored many throughout his years. In 2009, he moved to Lake Havasu City to join his partner Claire. Our “social butterfly”, will never be forgotten! His famous ‘strut’, the flirty lift of his eyebrows and the daily reminder of the effects of oral cancer were part of his character. Survivors include Claire Cunningham and Apryl Christian-Cummings. He is “gone from our sight, but not from our hearts”. Frank passed of lung cancer. There will be no services, per his request. In support of life, the body was donated to advance medicine through Science Care, a whole body donor program. Our family wants to express a heartfelt thank you to the Polidori House and Hospice of Havasu care team.
