NANCY, Matte

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Sunday, February 09, 2014 Nancy La Rue Matte of Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Jan. 31, 2014. She was born in Gorman, Texas, and moved to Arizona in 1959. She graduated from ASU with her Ph.D. in English literature. Her career spanned 40-plus years in education at Arizona State University, South Mountain Community College and Phoenix College. She is survived by her son Brice, his wife Dana and four grandchildren, Davyn, Brandon, James and Violet. A memorial will be at Phoenix College on Feb. 21, 2014, at 2 p.m. in the Willow Room.
