BADER, Wayne Lee

The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/11/2014 Wayne Lee Bader, 71, longtime resident of Lakeside, died Feb. 4, 2014, at the Phoenix VA Hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1942, in Prescott. Wayne graduated from Tucson High School and joined the Navy in 1960. He served four years aboard the USS Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Wayne is survived by his daughter, Julie Murphy of Lakeside; sister Claudia Bullion of Mesa; granddaughters: Cristal Sumerlin of Virginia Beach, Va., and Jessica Murphy of Tempe; great-grandson Tristan Sumerlin of Virginia Beach, Va. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother, Varena Deiboldt, and father Ed Deiboldt. A memorial/celebration of life was held Feb. 8 at the El Rancho/Matador, 1523 E. White Mountain Blvd. in Pinetop. No funeral services will be held. Wayne donated his body to the U of A College of Medicine in Tucson.
