Fern Lucille Leickel passed away Feb. 6, 2014 in Lake Havasu City, at the age of 92. She was born Feb. 1, 1922 in Median, Kan. to Clyde and Ida Mae (Shout) Johnson.

Fern has made Arizona her home for the last 34 years. She loved her dear town of Lake Havasu and all of her many friends including best friend Gladys Derochie.

Fern is survived by her loving daughter, Penny Paegel of Houston; step-son, William Russel Jones of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; sister, Sharon Houtz of Phoenix; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, son, a sister and brother.

A visitation will be at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home in the Chapel, Saturday, Feb. 15, at 2:30 p.m. with a funeral service following at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Sandra Johnson offering words of comfort and Barbara Huntting singing and playing the piano.
