The White Mountain Independent, Show Low, Arizona ~ 02/14/2014 The Van Deman family would like to pay tribute to their loved ones who have recently passed, Rip Van Deman and Bunny Riley. Rip (Clarence Charles) Van Deman, 86, died Jan. 26, 2014. He was born Sept. 14, 1927, in Indiana. He married his wife of 68 years, Mary Lou Pisciotti Van Deman, in 1945. Rip and Mary Lou had five children together: Michael, Ronald, Marguerite (Bunny), Gale and Dee Van Deman. Rip was preceded in death by two of his children, Ron and Bunny. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou; sons Mike, Gale and Dee; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Rip had a long career at Aerojet General in California, and after retirement moved to Lakeside, where he spent many years as a volunteer with the Pinetop-Lakeside Police Department. Rip was recognized by the PLPD as Volunteer of the Year three times for his service to the community. Bunny (Marguerite Ruth) Van Deman Riley passed away shortly before her dad, Dec. 19, 2013. Bunny was born April 21, 1949, in Knox, Ind. Bunny worked for many years for the Northern California Butcher’s Union, and after retirement moved to Lakeside with her longtime companion Bob Potter. Bob passed away in 2007. Bunny was employed for several years at Blue Diamond Homes in Lakeside. She is survived by her son, Chuck Fisher; granddaughter Cloe Marie, as well as her mother Mary Lou Van Deman; brothers Mike, Gale and Dee; and numerous nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. To Rip and Bunny, family was of utmost importance. They passed with love and forever will be missed.
