Gary T. Machesney, 80, of Cornville, Arizona, went to his home in heaven Monday February 10, 2014 after a valiant 4-year battle with cancer.
He was born May 18, 1933 to William and Edna Machesney of Wheat Ridge, Colorado. His sister Billie (George) Yates still resides in Denver. Gary loved NASCAR, target shooting, gold panning, the Lord, his beautiful home in Cornville, and his dog Molly. He was a master mechanic and meticulous electrician during his lifetime.
He was passionate about life, his family, his friends, and his neighbors. If he could do it for you, he would.
He leaves behind his wife, Tecla, the love of his life; children Terry (Brian) Patrick of Pinetop, Arizona, Susan Machesney of Phoenix, Arizona, William (Ronda) Machesney of Arvada, Colorado, Steven Martin of Cornville, Arizona. He had 5 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Gary requested donations to a charity of your choice.
An open house to celebrate his life will be held for friends and family on Saturday March 1, from noon to 3 p.m. at their home in Cornville.
