Copper Country News, Globe, AZ Wednesday, February 05, 2014 Effie Jo Ownsby She left us and went to heaven on Jan. 25, 2014. She was born in Bromide, Okla. on July 24, 1926. Her and her husband came to Tucson, Ariz. back in 1962. Then around 1967 they moved to Roosevelt, Ariz. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Elmer Keith Ownsby. She is survived by her daughters and sons, Maudie Channing, Jim Ownsby and wife Dorothy, Don Ownsby and wife Dee, Ray Ownsby, and Jo Ann Demoss and husband Ed. Jo lived in Roosevelt for close to 40 years. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She loved to fish with her husband, make quilts, and crochet. Most of all she loved spending time with the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with spending time with the family. Memorial services will be held on Feb. 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Living Waters Church at 125 E. Haskins Road in Globe, Ariz.
