Kenneth G. Nelson, 69, resident of Show Low for 19 years, died Feb. 4, 2014, in Show Low of natural causes. He was born Feb. 7, 1944, in South St. Paul, Minn.
Kenny was a college graduate with a degree in business management and psychology. He began his career in the Navy as a gunner mate on the USS Eversole. He later served with the federal government as a planner and estimator, where he received several awards and honors that he was proud of. He retired at the age of 50 to pursue his happiness and dreams in the state of Arizona.
For the last 19 years, Kenny has spent his life dedicated to helping those less fortunate and in need. He had a heart of gold and always helped anyone that reached out to him. He was dedicated to the Lord and was a strong believer in sharing his knowledge with anyone that would listen. Kenny is sincerely missed by all of those that loved and knew him.
He is survived by three children: Scott Nelson, Nancy Nelson and Jami Nelson; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two nieces
Kenny was preceded in death by his twin brother, Keith E. Nelson, father Armond Nelson and mother Merele Nelson.
A service in honor of Kenny at a later date with his family in California.
