Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, February 19, 2014 Mary Wilcox, 51, of Tucson, Ariz. passed away on Feb. 7, 2014. She was born on Nov. 19, 1962, the daughter of Jesse DeVaney Jr. and Betty Jo Coffey. She was a music teacher for more than 20 years, retiring in 2006. She lived in Globe after moving from Safford, Ariz. She graduated from Globe High School. She attended Grand Canyon University and earned her BA in Music Education from Arizona State University. She was married to Lee Groves, and then to Robert Claridge. She is survived by her children, Carina Groves Hinton and Christianne Claridge; siblings, Jess DeVaney and Cindy Olvey; mother, Betty Jo; and great-grandmother, Mary Coffey. She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse DeVaney Jr. Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15 at Tucson True Light Church, 5550 E. First St. in Tucson, Ariz., with Pastors Luke Pak and Ken Kemp officiating. She was buried at Safford Cemetary.
