Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, February 19, 2014 - Mary Jo Madden passed away at home in Lake Havasu City, Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at the age of 65. Mary was a resident for the last 23 years. Mary was born in 1948 in York, Neb. She graduated from Downey High School in Downey, Calif. She worked as a warehouse worker for AT&T until she retired. Mary was an artist at heart and had an eye for detail. She loved spending time with her grandkids and great-granddaughter. She had a heart of gold and was loved by so many. She was the epitome of “big things come in small packages.” Mary only had one speed and that was GO. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Edward “Woody” Madden. They were married in Las Vegas, Nev. Mary is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Michelle Renee Martinez and husband Ron, of Henderson, Nev.; brother Van Madra, of Payson, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Jacob, Ron, Josette and McKenna; one great-grandchild Avianna; sister in law, Brenda; brother in law, Davey; nieces, Melissa and Vanessa and nephew, Brandon.
