Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on February 20, 2014 - Charles Scoggins Sr. went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Feb. 11, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Brenda; daughters, Opal (Mark) Beard and Rhonda Hisle; son, Charles Scoggins Jr.; grandchildren, Christopher (Kathy) Beard, Stephanie (Nick) Larson, Ric Hisle, Ryan Hisle and Cheyenne Scoggins; great-grandchildren, Thomas Beard, Hannah Larson and Ian Larson; his mother, Sabra Pierce; brother, Austin Scoggins; and sister, Francis Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his father, Gilford Scoggins; grandson, Jeremy Beard; brother, Columbus Scoggins; sister, Sible Owens; and brother, James Scoggins. He is a Marine Corps veteran. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at his home church, Calvary Baptist Church, 3575 Shaeffer Ave.
