Lloyd Duane Harper Sr., 77, went to his home in heaven Friday, Feb. 7, 2014. He was born Dec. 1, 1936, in Eagle, Colo., to Iman David Harper and Lois Audray Gilmer.
Lloyd was a good, hardworking man who took care of his family as a truck driver. He belonged to Teamsters Union 104 and retired from Consolidated Freightways. He loved the outdoors, horses, people and life.
Gone before to welcome him were his brother, Orion Wainwright Harper, father Iman, brother Bernard Iman Harper, mother Lois, sister Nancy Kaye Parker, sister Marcia Audray Schlegel, brother Albert Barlow, Nettie Harper Klingensmith, Maude Harper Neff, Norman Harper, Irene Harper Randall, Lena Harper Sells.
Left behind to comfort one another are his beloved companion, Hermalinda Medina, and family; his children: Karen Stowers, Lois (Charles) Mosley, JoEllen (Merlin) Dudley, Bernard Harper, Lloyd (Michelle) Harper Jr., Frannie Metcalfe, Kelly (Kori Peters) Harper; mother of his children Joyce Jacobs, Dawn Johnston and sister Bernadine Denton; 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins, many valued friends, and his two dogs, Penny and PeeWee.
