HIGGINS, Ronald Willis

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, March 14, 2006 Ronald Willis Higgins, age 65, a native of Prescott, died March 11, 2006, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center. Ron was born April 9, 1940, in Prescott to James W. (Bill) and Ruth (Merriman) Higgins. Ron graduated from Prescott High School, class of 1958. He then served our country in the U.S. Navy. Ron worked for APS. He was a member of the Smoki People, the Moose Lodge and the Coconino Astronomical Society. Ron is survived by his wife, Diana; son Daniel (Kathy) of Colo.; daughter Emily Ann of Colo.; mother, Ruth of Prescott; sisters, Myra Turner, Caroline Geiler of Prescott and Mary Moskop of Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James W. (Bill) Higgins in 1998. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, March 15, 2006, at 2 p.m. at the Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott. Full Military Honors will be presented by the American Legion Post #6 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Coconino Astronomical Society would be appreciated: 7406 Moonbeam Drive, Flagstaff, Ariz., 86004.
