Gregory Ames Holmbeck was born in Illinois and moved to Denver, Colo. in the 1950s. Gregory was enlisted in the Air National Guard where he worked as a military jet technician. Gregory was married and had three children.
Gregory and his family moved to Aspen, Colo. in 1965 where he was employed by the City of Aspen Police Department and served as a police officer for many years and then transferred to the city maintenance department and finished his career.
Gregory retired from the City of Aspen in 1988 and moved to Lake Havasu City where he spent his retirement. Gregory Holmbeck successfully invested in property during his retirement years and spent time snow skiing, sailing, water skiing and enjoying time with his family and friends.
Gregory became ill in 2014 and his family brought him to Huntington Beach, Calif. where Gregory passed away with all three children present.
Gregory Ames Holmbeck will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
Gregory is survived by his brother, Glenn Holmbeck and his three children, Virginia Hogans, James Holmbeck and John Holmbeck.
Services will be in Lake Havasu City on a houseboat meeting at the Nautical Inn at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1.
