Norvel Owens Mortuary, Flagstaff, Arizona Virginia Kern Emtman (October 4, 1947 - February 25, 2014) Virginia Kern Emtman passed away on February 25th, 2014 at her home in Flagstaff Arizona. Virginia was born in St. Cloud Minnesota October 4, 1925. Virginia attended St. Benedict’s College and graduated St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing October of 1947. She served as President of Sigma Phi Sorority and a member of Ave Maria Sorority. Virginia moved to California where she met Eric T. Emtman. They were married December 26th, 1953. Virginia and Eric raised their two children in Riverside, California. Enjoying many family camping and road trips. Lake Mohave became a favorite destination growing many lifetime friendships and memories. As empty nesters Virginia and Eric moved to Sun City West. Traveling in their RV and weaving being one of their favorite pastimes. Finding Northern Arizona a favorable cli¬mate landed Virginia and Eric in Munds Park. After Eric’s death, Virginia focused on her faith and St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Charities. Virginia’s loving devotion to her faith, family, and friends will remain with us forever. Not forgetting her passion for bridge with her girlfriends, her beautiful smile and love of life. Virginia is survived by her son, Rick Emtman and his wife Janet. Her daughter, Laura Kelly and her husband Wayne. A rosary will be held Monday March 3rd at 6:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church 224 South Kendrick, Flagstaff, AZ. A Mass for Virginia will be March 4th at 10 a.m. at San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church, 1600 East Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ. In lieu of flowers her family asks that donations be made to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul or San Francisco de Asis Catholic Church Building Fund 1600 East Route 66, Flagstaff, AZ 86001.
