Larry Thomas Thien was born Dec. 6, 1938 in Bell, Calif. to Tom and Virginia Thien. Larry grew up and went to school in Huntington Park, Calif. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963.
Larry married the love of his life, Kathy in 1962. He worked for Southern California Edison from which he retired after 37 years of dedicated service.
Larry and Kathy retired to Lake Havasu City in 1994, where they built their dream house and were very involved within the community and were surrounded by wonderful friends.
Larry enjoyed fishing, boating and loved to watch all sports. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge #2399 and a member and past president of the Over The Hill Gang Car Club.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Kathy of 51 years; his three sons, Terry, Larry and Greg and eight grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, March 22, at 11 a.m., at the Lake Havasu City Elks Lodge #2399.
