ROWE, SR., James Russell

Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on Sunday, March 2, 2014 - On Feb. 24, 2014, our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather James Russell Rowe Sr. (Jim) became an angel. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Nancy; his children, Lynne (Doug) Brockmeier, Teresa (Kevin) Robertson, Sandy McLeod, James (Shelbie) Rowe Jr.; and his daughter-in-law, Lisa Rowe-Montoya. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Rowe, and his grandson, "Scooter" McLeod. He will also be missed by his 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Not only was Jim loved by his family, but was respected by those he worked and volunteered with. He served 22 years of active duty in the United States Air Force (Retired MSGT in 1975) and 13 years of civil service. He volunteered at the March Field Museum, Boy Scouts of America, Little League Baseball, the Catholic Church, Valle Vista Community Library, and during his seven years RVing with his wife he volunteered with the National Fish and Wildlife Service as well as serving as camp host for many state and county parks. Our family would like to say a special thank you to the Joan and Diana Hospice Home and their wonderful staff, especially Crystal, Helen, Erica and Denise. They were supportive, compassionate, and truly caring through this difficult time. "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:30-31 Off we go into the wild blue yonder... Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com. Arrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
