Robert (Red) and Doris (Linn) Carraher
Doris (Linn) Carraher, 73, died Feb. 20, 2014, of heart failure.
Robert (Red) Carraher, 77, died three days later, Feb. 23, 2014, of cancer. They resided in Bodega Bay in their home they built together in 1989. They were married for 53 years. Both Robert and Doris attended McNary High. They were married at the Whiteriver Lutheran Church in 1960. They died three days apart, neither wanting to be without each other, even in death.
Robert was born Feb. 10, 1937, in Detroit, Mich. He was an honor guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington, was a carpenter, salmon fisherman and served as a chairperson on the Salmon Council.
Doris was born May 4, 1940, in Whiteriver. She was a homemaker, salmon fisherman and a member of the Women’s Auxiliary
They are survived by their children: Cari, Randell and Russell of California; sisters: Dorothy and Wendy; four grandchildren: Kevin, Jesse, Matthew and Eric of California; and many nieces and nephews, as well as their dear friends in California, Utah and Michigan.
