LOPEZ, Damiana (Tita)

Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Tuesday, March 04, 2014 Damiana “Tita” Rascon Lopez, 92 of Claypool, Ariz. died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014 peacefully in her own home surrounded by her family. She was born to Refugio Ramos Rascon and Julia Cosme Rascon on March 1, 1921 on a train coming from San Antonio, Texas to Miami, Ariz. and was baptized in San Marcos, Texas. She leaves behind her daughters, Gloria Lopez Rico, Olivia Lopez Cordero and Odina Lopez Espinoza; grandchildren, Luis and Damian Rico, Andres (Jessika) Espinoza and Sarah Cordero; great-grandchildren, Tristan Rose-Espinoza, Kyra Rose-Espinoza and Luka-Rose Espinoza. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. “Tita” was preceded in death by her parents, Refugio Ramos Rascon and Julia Cosme Rascon; brothers; Jesus “Chuy”, Jose, Damacio “Pachi” and Antonio “Tony”, and sister, Betty Rascon DeArcos and her son-in-law Arturo “Turi” Espinoza. Services for Damiana were on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014 at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Miami, Ariz. Visitation was at 9 a.m. followed by the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. followed with interment at the Pinal Cemetery in Central Heights.
