Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Wednesday, March 5, 2014 - Ronald Dean Ashby, 74, passed away Feb. 27, 2014 at the Polidori House in Lake Havasu City. He was born March 16, 1939 in Blytheville, Ark. to Robert and Ruth Ashby. Ron worked for McCulloch Corporation in the mid 80's before relocating to Southern California where he was employed by the Boeing Corporation until 1999, when he subsequently retired. It was then he made Lake Havasu his home permanently. Ron married the love of his life, Lynda Lou, in March of 1987. To his nieces and nephews he was affectionately known as "Unc". He will be deeply missed and loved by his family and friends. Ron is survived by his two sons, Ronald Dean Jr. and William Robert (Veronique) Ashby; grandsons, William (Lisa), Justin and Ryan; granddaughter, Michelle; great-grandson, Jason and great-granddaughter, Brooklyn; brother, Rick (Diane); sisters, Roberta and Ruth; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as his best friends Richard and Debbie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruth; brother, Bobby and his wife, Lynda Lou. A celebration of Ron's life will be at a later date in Lake Havasu with family and close friends.
