Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Monday, March 10, 2014 Howard F. Shipman, 71 Former Globe-Miami resident Howard F. Shipman passed away March 1 at his home in Tucson surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.V. and Doris Shipman. Howard was born Oct. 1, 1942 in San Saba, Texas. The Shipman family moved to the Globe-Miami area in 1947, where he graduated from Miami High School in 1960. The family then moved to Tucson, where he met and married Kathleen Peterson. They were married 50 years and had two children. He is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, Frank (Michelle); daughter, Kris Shipman; brother, Jim (Marilyn) Shipman; sister, Lois (Bob) Gilmartin; one grandson, three granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, one nephew and three nieces and their families. He will be missed by many. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 12, at Hudgels-Swan Funeral Home in Tucson, Ariz.
