Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, March 9, 2014 - Joanne Louise Barton, 79 of Lake Havasu City, passed away March 2, 2014 at her home in Lake Havasu City. She was born April 22, 1934 in Oakland, Calif. to Francis (Frank) P. Butterworth and Olive L. Veale Butterworth. Joanne grew up in Northern California where she enjoyed family vacations at the beach. She met her husband Floyd in South Lake Tahoe and they raised their family in beautiful Inyo County, Calif. Joanne worked for the Inyo County Recorders office for many years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and traveling with her husband. She is survived by her husband Floyd of Lake Havasu City; children, Sabrina of Lake Havasu City; Quient of Bishop, Calif.; Eric (Sharon) of Winnemucca, Nev.; step-children, Justin (Patricia) of Bishop and Rene (Jim) of John Day, Ore.; grandchildren, Quientin (Cathalyn), Anastasia (Logan), Logan, Dolan, Cody, James, Michael, Megan and Olivia; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Jaxon, Addison and Kimberly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Olive and infant brother, James Robert. Per her request, no service will take place.
