The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, March 13, 2014 Kristin Beth Jordan-Perkins entered eternal rest on March 10, 2014. Kristin's family held her hands and surrounded her as she entered God's country. Her family and friends find comfort in knowing that her trials of this world have been eased by God's hands. Kristin is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Carson-Jordan; her grandfather Austin J. Carson Sr.; her uncle Jay T. Carson; and "The Great One" R.H. Perkins. Born Sept. 15, 1967, in Philipsburg, Pa., Kristin spent many of her early years growing up on her grandparent's farm in Osceola Mills, Pa. Kristin's family moved to Texas when she was 13 years old. She graduated from Bronte High School in 1985. In 1986, she gave birth to her oldest son Jeremy Jordan. In 1990, she had her youngest son Duncan Melton. Kristin worked hard to provide a good life for her family and she continuously helped those who were in need. She worked as a security guard/dispatcher for Bagdad, Ariz., and a 911 dispatcher for Irion County Sheriff's Department. She enjoyed decorating cakes, sewing, quilting, crafts and most of all she had a great love for horses and John Wayne. Kristin raised fine young men who she is survived by: her sons, Jeremy Jordan and his wife Erin of Bagdad, Duncan Melton and his wife Sarah of Bagdad, and Joe Joe Ortiz of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister Sheri Pounds Walker and Johnny of San Angelo, Texas; brother Douglas Jordan and wife Kimberly of Perris, Calif.; brother Tommy Baney of Pennsylvania; sister Jessica Baney of Pennsylvania; grandmother Loretta Carson of Osceola Mills, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Brylee Jordan, Charlee Jordan and Chris Metzger. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Shannon Medical Center's doctors and nurses for the tremendous care and compassion given. We would also like to thank her hospice nurses Alana and Veronica for their care and love. Until we hold hands again. We will await your ever so precious smile to greet us at the gates of heaven.
