Today's News-Herald, Lake Havasu City, AZ - Posted: Sunday, March 16, 2014 - Marjorie C. Sharp, 97, passed away March 9, 2014 at Sun Haven Assisted Living in Lake Havasu City. She was born Oct. 24, 1916 in Detroit. After graduating high school, Marge worked as an administrative manager for a large electronic business. Later, she worked as an executive secretary for Walter Ruether, UAW-CIO. She married Clyde Sharp in 1937 and in 1938 she gave birth to her only son, David Sharp. They resided in Michigan until 1978, when they relocated to Lake Havasu City due to Clyde’s health and to be close to family. Clyde passed away in 1981. She enjoyed painting and sharing her talent with others. Marge is survived by her son, David (Nannette) Sharp; sister, Genevieve McKenny of Birmingham, Mich.; sister in law, Mary Jane Sharp of Dearborn, Mich.; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and five nephews and nieces and their families.
