Gunnar Barr Erickson, 53, of Henderson, passed away March 10, 2014.
He was born Nov. 7, 1960, in Salina, Kan., to Raymond and JoAn Erickson.
He was a wildlife manager for the state of Arizona, spending much of his career managing the desert bighorn sheep population in the Black Mountains near the Hoover Dam, patrolling Lake Mead and the upper reaches of the Colorado River. To those who knew him, he will remain forever a legend.
Gunnar had a passion for the great outdoors and automobiles, a love that he has passed on to each of his children.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Dustin, Dallas and Drew; daughter, Katie; and granddaughter, Quinn.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at Hope Baptist Church, 850 East Cactus Ave. in Las Vegas.
