Lamont Mortuary of Globe, Globe, Arizona LYDIA GARCIA VALTIERRA (January 3, 1930 - March 17, 2014) LYDIA GARCIA VALTIERRA age 84, of Globe, Arizona passed away on March 17, 2014 in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born at El Ranchito De Huepac, Mexico on January 3, 1930 to Antonio and Beatrice Garcia. Lydia was married to Alfred Valtierra and was a homemaker. She was survived by her children Lydia Smith, Albert Valtierrz, Alfred Valtierra and Art Valtierra. She had 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Services will be Monday, March 24, 2014 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Arizona with the Rosary beginning at 9:30 A.M. Burial will be in Globe Cemetery following services. ~~~~~~~~~ Arizona Silver Belt, Globe, Arizona, Wednesday, March 26, 2014 Lydia G. Valtierra, age 84, entered into eternal life on March 17, 2014. Mrs. Valtierra was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking not only for her family but for the church. She also loved gardening, camping and fishing, but most of all her greatest pleasure was her family. She was an active member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and Sodality Ladies group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Valtierra; one sister, Maria J. Salcido; three brothers, Antonio Jr., Jubencio, and Rojelio Garcia; one grandchild, Cheserae Valtierra; and one great-grandchild, Justin Valtierra. She is survived by four children, Alfred Jr. (Michele Salas), Art (Debby), Lydia (Bernardo Gonzales), and Albert (Christie); 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Alfred Garcia, Tony Garcia, Lindolfo Garcia (Helen), all from Globe, and Elmer Garcia (Gail) of Escondido, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. Mass and Christian burial was offered at 9 a.m. on Monday, March 24 at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Interment followed at Globe Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by Lamont Mortuary.
