Kaye Roper of Bellemont went to her heavenly home on Friday, March 21, 2014. She was born in Morenci, Arizona on June 14, 1950. Kaye loved Flagstaff. She worked in radio for many years and belonged to several community clubs and organizations. Family and friends were very important to her and she loved them all deeply.
Kaye is survived by Jim, her husband of 31 years; brother Ron (Helga) Dinwiddie of Bellemont and sister Susan (Don) Campbell of Lopez Island, WA; son Dan (Mari) of Snowflake and daughters Tammy Tarr and Candace (Woody) McNabb of Hobbs, NM; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Friday, March 28 from 6-8 P.M. at Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, Flagstaff. Services will be Saturday, March 29 at 11:00 A.M. at Christ’s Church of Flagstaff, 3475 E. Soliere Avenue, Flagstaff, with graveside service at Citizen’s Cemetery following. After the graveside service, all are invited to return to a reception at the Christ’s Church of Flagstaff Hospitality Room.
Kaye’s family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Northland Hospice, their counselors and nurses, to the nurses and caregivers at the Olivia White Hospice Home, and to the fine doctors and nurses at both Flagstaff Medical Center and the Mayo Clinic of Scottsdale.
In lieu of flowers, Kaye’s request is that donations be made to the Coconino Humane Association for the purchase of dog beds for the inmates. Please call (928) 526-1076 to make a donation.
