Smith, Sr. July 10, 1925 - March 19, 2014 Funeral Services for Woodie Curtis Smith, Sr. 88, will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 AM MST at Greer’s Mortuary Chapel in Winslow, AZ. Interment will be at the family plot in Canyon Diablo, AZ. Woodie was born in Leupp, AZ on July 10, 1925 and entered into rest at Tuba City Indian Hospital on March 19, 2014. Woodie was employed and served at Bellemont Navajo Army Depot from 1945 to 1977 when he retired. He had Traditional Navajo beliefs, worked in ranching, horse bronc and saddle bronc. He is survived by his sons, Peter Smith, Woodie Smith, Jr., Stanley Smith, Wilfred C. Smith; daughters, Irene Smith, Ella Price, Rita Yazzie, Juanita Smith & Charlene Luna; sisters, Lorna A. Smith, Zonnie Wilson; brothers, Joe C. Smith, Keith Y. Smith, Tso Y. Smith and Gene Smith; 30 grandchildren and 36 great- grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Yazzie, son Timothy Smith, daughter Lula Mae Smith, father John Jones, Sr and mother Chee Curtis
