Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, AZ - Published on March 27, 2014 - Curtis Hillyer Moncrief, 93, passed away Feb. 25, 2014, at his residence in Dolan Springs. He was born to Hillyer and Sarah Moncrief on March 27, 1920, in Belton, Texas. He was a veteran of the Army, where he served our country during World War II. Up until his death he was an active member of the VFW in Dolan Springs. Curtis is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Coreta Moncrief. He is survived by his sons, Curtis and H. David Moncrief; his daughter, Maggie Moncrief; and daughter-in-law, Kim Gary. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. The family will be holding a celebration of life in his memory from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 29, at the VFW Hall in Dolan Springs.
