FEICHTER, Richard Wayne

The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, April 03, 2014 Richard Wayne Feichter, husband, father, grandpa and coach, passed on March 29, 2014. Born in Salamanca, N.Y., on Aug. 22, 1951, he grew up playing football, basketball and competing in track and field. He graduated from Archbishop Walsh High School in Olean, N.Y., and completed schooling at Hudson Valley Community College. He headed west in the early '80s and settled in Arizona, where he met Lianne, his wife and very best friend of over 25 years and mother to their three children. He has served as the Yavapai County painter for just short of 27 years and took enormous pride in his work and community. He will be remembered in his many projects all over town. Many know him as "Coach," a role that brought him so much drive and joy. Coaching was his passion as he was so effectively able to translate his skills as a lifelong athlete into coaching and motivating kids. Above all, he lived for his family. To him there was no greater success than the beautiful life and family he and his wife built. His unparalleled spirit is carried on by his wife, three children, six grandchildren, four siblings, his mother, an extended family and so many wonderful friends. A service to honor and celebrate his life will be Friday, April 4, 2014 at 5 p.m., at the Chino Valley High School Gymnasium. Information provided by survivors.
