Abelardo Josay entered into rest March 26, 2014, in Mesa. He was born June 17, 1951, in Whiteriver.

Abelardo is survived by his sisters: Jacqueline Josay, Sharon Josay, Karen Josay, Rosalita Hartfield, Josephine Johnson, Linda Lavender; brother Bernard Josay; niece Joycelyn Maceda; and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Agnes Josay, and brother Eddie Josay.

Abelardo’s body was brought home for a one-night wake at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 3, to 2702 Lonesome Dove number 96 in Seven Mile. A home service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, at the family residence in Seven Mile, with Pastor Floyd Dosela officiating. 

Interment will be at the Whiteriver Cemetery.

Manzanita Mortuary of Whiteriver handled arrangements.
