Joyce L. Brenton, 85, longtime resident of Taylor, died March 23, 2014, in Phoenix. She was born Jan. 22, 1929, in Amarillo, Texas.

Joyce is survived by her daughters: Vicki Velasquez and Susan Brenton; son George Brenton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by George D. Daves.

There will be no services. The family is holding a private memorial in her honor.
